How do i deal with my 12 yr old son who was suspended for having a porn magazine at school.

He claims it was given too him by another kid at school, and i tend to believe him, but instead of getting rid of it, or turning it in he kept it showing it too several other kids, keeping it most of the day untill he got caught with it and is now susspended.

I'm sorry, retsamikol. You're in an unfortunate situation that has forced you to discuss topics you may not have expected to address so soon. If nothing else, your son is seeing the consequences of his actions play out ~ big time. I'm praying this will be a wonderful learning opportunity.

i think this is normal behavior for a 12yr old.  They are starting to find interest in the female.  They have questions and want to see what they should see.  You do need to talk to him.  Explain Gods plan for him and his future with a woman AFTER marriage.  Dont let him feel nasty or dirty.  Tell him those feelings are normal and healthy but, when he has questions come to you, your door is always open.  He can talk to you about everything!  I told my son when he was 12 after finding a picture on his cell phone that he took of a woman modeling a bra, from a catalog.  I told him, one day you will get married and have a wife.  How would she feel if she knew you have seen other woman?  How will you feel if you know she has seen another mans body? Dont worry one day you will have you own wife and you can stare at her body all day if you want.  He understood and laughed.  But, be ready because after that the questions will come, many of them.  He needs to know that you are open with him and you care about him and that he isnt dirty, just healthy!  Sometimes if i havent heard much from him in that area, he is now 16.  I ask him out of the blue "how are the hormones son, kick in yet?  is the urge to have sex stronger now?  just hang in there babe, take a cold shower, pray and give it to God.  Your wife is going to love you for it one day.  and he agrees.
