your thoughts on: diary of wimpy kid - jeff kinney

brothers and sisters,

i was wondering if you have heard of this book. i'd like to know what you all think of it.

if you would spare your review and share me your thoughts from Christians' perspectives that would be appreciated.

for some reasons, i haven't let my kid read the book yet. there's something about the book that i don't personally accept as good way of teaching kid to live the Christ way.

but i'm not so sure what they are. well, for one, my child is barely 7.

Hi nosey_gomu!  Thanks for your post!  I know you haven't gotten any responses from the community yet, and so I thought it might be helpful to direct you to an organization that might have the 411 on the book. 

 

When you get a second, I'd recommend that you contact Family Friendly Libraries.

I share a bit of your unease about the books although I'm not sure why.  I have glanced at the books because my nephew is really into them.  The character(s) seem sort of rude, lazy and kind of mean.  There doesn't seem to be anything 'redeeming' about the characters.  Again, this is just me glancing at the books.  We've just avoided them and my 11-year-old son never showed any interest in them.
