Why should I register?
Although you are able to view posts without registering, your free registration will allow you to start new discussions and to reply to comments posted by others.
How do I register?
Click on the "Register" link at the top of this page, or click here to register.
How do I change my username?
Once a username has been chosen and registered, it can only be changed by calling us at (800) 232-6459. Ask for the Web Help Desk.
I forgot my password
Click on the question mark next to "Password," or click here to reset your password.
How do I edit my profile?
After you're logged in, go to "Your Stuff" and then "Profile." Click on "Edit Profile" to change the information you share with others.
How can I add an avatar to my profile?
Due to the nature of topics in the Focus Online Community, it is our desire to offer you confidential and safe format for these discussions. Therefore, custom avatars and personal profile fields such as profile photos are not available at this time.
How do I post?
Click on the "Start a discussion" link below the list of communities on the left side of the page. This will open a text editor. Type your question in the text editor and click on the words "post message." Our moderators will review your post and approve it as quickly as possible.

How do I reply to a post?
At the bottom, right corner of each post is a "Reply" link that you click to add your response to the discussion.
Can I edit my post?
Yes. Click on the "edit" link at the bottom of your message. Once you've re-posted it, it will go through moderation again.
Why should I tag my posts?
Tags are used to organize the posts. They are simply brief labels or keywords you think best describes your question. By adding tags to your posts, you will be able to find them quickly later, and they also enable others to find your posts through search.
Where is my post?
Each post must be approved by a moderator before it goes live. For that reason, you can expect a delay between when you post and when it appears on the forum.
What are moderators?
Moderators are Focus employees who oversee our forums. They have the ability to edit, delete, or approve posts, move entire discussions, and perform other maintenance tasks.
How can I stop being notified everytime someone posts?
To stop these emails, you can:
1. Log in, and go to Your Stuff > Preferences. Scroll to the bottom to set your notification preferences.
2. Go to Your Stuff > Profile. Choose the Email Notifications tab. Modify your options.
How can I find out about upcoming events and Webcasts?
Our past, current and upcoming events can be found on our Events community page. In addition, we will announce upcoming events in the top, right column of our individual community pages.
How do I post a question to the event guest?
From our Events page, choose the event that interests you. Click on "Start a discussion" in the left column, and type the title and content of your message in the text editor, and hit "post message."
How do I call in to an event?
To call in to one of our Webcast events, choose the event on our Events community page. An 800 number and further instructions will be provided for you there.
How do I watch a Webcast?
Go to the Events community page to find specific instructions on viewing our Webcasts.

Webcasts and Special Guests
I really appreciated the forum with Tricia Goyer. She did a marvelous job in responding to questions and issues. She even wrote in careful sentences with proper italics for book titles. She's off the charts! I sure hope you will have Tricia on Focus radio again and on a forum again! She speaks to everyday people who may tune in to Focus radio, but may not go there intentionally.
I thought the participants in the forum gave worthwhile thoughts as well. Focus staff, keep up this timely, wonderful work!

I think these forums are extremely helpful! I come here each time I'm facing parenting struggles that I'm unsure how to handle. Sometimes I just read other people's posts about issues I haven't faced yet, just because the discussions are often insightful and helpful, especially when the FOTF counselors chine in.
I do have a great church, but not a lot of Christian friends who are trying to raise their children according to God's Word. So for me, this has been such a blessing. Thank you for providing us with this wonderful resource!

Dad4Christ, I agree with you about the feedback you offered. the forums are wonderful and I personally am so happy I was led here. I was led in a time that I would describe as total desperation. I was definitely lifted when I had someone respond to my post within 24 hours and for the next few weeks found myself "clinging" to the site. It really meant a lot to think someone cared. I appreciated every response I received. I feel this community FOTF has set up is a tremendous blessing to so many people. Even without responses directly to me I can find words of comfort just reading responses to other posts. Praise to God for this gift!
