Twittering Tween Tantwums

I agree sosmallgirl.:P Bieber is at the age where it would be odd not to notice that Kim Kardashian is gorgeous. He maybe shouldn't have said so in so many words on Twitter, but it isn't something weird or abnormal.:P
As to these girls who are writing death threats, they all need to get a grip. Chances are that most of them will never even meet Justin Bieber let alone be anything like a girl friend to him. Same thing with Jonas Bros, and all kinds of young stars. It is disgusting how teens fawn over someone they don't even really know.
Honestly, I don't think JB meant anything by his "girlfriend" comment. I'm sure plenty of boys his age would photoshop a picture of themselves next to KK and make the same joke. Bieber's just doing what a normal 16 year old would: the drawback being that he's not normal. He's got an international platform where every little thing he says has huge importance to the world at large.
As for the death threats, I remain puzzled by that. Either some of those people were jealous, or they took him so seriously they objected to the ten year age difference between JB and KK. Humans act in strange ways when they let their emotions take over.
On a 20 something blogging forum I'm on this kid and why he's so popular was a topic not too long ago.
It's the same as when it was when we were all in junior high, whatever era that was - Hanson/BSB/Nsync, NKOTB, David Cassidy, etc. Only difference is we didn't have the interaction with our "crushes" the same way the kids today do - if we wanted to contact and connect with them outside a concert or listening to the records we'd write a letter. Now the kids can Twitter right to the celeb! And often they Twitter back! It's take the whole thing to a new level/degree!
